Fan Art Gone Wild
![]()
So here’s something new. I’m modest by nature and not used to the glare of the Internet. But apparently, a few folks decided that my sun-sheltered geekista visage was worthy of fan art. Fan art! Oh woah.
Some nut posted my site illustration in the form of a coloring book page. Other nuts are filling it out. I copied a version by Michael Ward above. I like what he’s done with my hair!
If I see any more of these in the wild, I’ll link ‘em and even try to post ‘em.
This also came over the wire -
It’s by Cheyenne Wright, who blogs hot stuff at ArcaneTimes Concept Art (don’t miss his Dr. Horrible wallpapers).
I’ll be honest, I went back and forth on reposting this one. It’s an awesome pic that he spent a lot of time on, and I’m very grateful for that. But usually nobody draws me that bare except my boyfriend, who says he’s doing “figure studies.” And ever since I posted it, I’ve gotten some frankly awkward comments from folks who are stunned by the power of my (or I suspect, any) ta-tas. So I don’t know what to make of it. But I’ve gotten to know Cheyenne a little now, and I dig the man immensely. So I respect it for what it is: a beautiful illustration by a gifted artist who happens to think this is how I look playing House of the Dead: Overkill, and who has seen Barbarella about a zillion times too many.
(UPDATE: This post updated a lot since I wrote it, for reasons I just explained.)
